Sale of Marijuana in Ponoka County

Ponoka County Council intends to amend the Land Use By-Law to allow applications for the sale of marijuana in Direct Control districts only.  The Land Use By-Law already regulates and controls the production, processing and packaging of marijuana through this district.  Click here for the full notice.

Applicants must attend a short training session and sign a user agreement before receiving the product. There is a minimum purchase of 6 bottles. The cost is $10.50/bottle or $250/case of 24 bottles non-refundable.  You must be a bonafide farmer ($10,000.00/year farm income) and have a farm fuel number with treatment area zoned AG.  This product is only available to Ponoka County producers and lands within the County.
 
This product is available ONLY for severe infestations of RGS. 
Definition of a “severe infestation”:
1 hole per 4 strides walking in 100 m or 20% crop damage in 100 m strip of cropland.
  
Contact Agriculture Services to Book at 403-783-3336.  If you do not have a severe infestation or do not fit the definition of an agricultural producer check with your local farm supply store to see what alternative products are available to you.  Payment must be made prior to receiving the product (Cash, Cheque, Interac). Distribution will be done at the County office in Ponoka. County Address: 4205 Highway 2A Ponoka.
