As a result of the recent and continued forecasted moisture, Ponoka County, including the Town of Rimbey, Town of Ponoka and Summer Village of Parkland Beach have lifted their amended fire advisory effective today.
Always remember to be fire smart and use extreme caution while using your fire pits, burn barrels. In a split second an “under control” fire can take a turn for the worse. Before and during your fire, be aware of the current weather conditions and re-evaluate if the weather changes. Always extinguish your fire if the change in weather increases the hazard of your fire. We thank you for being safe!
Effective Monday, May 28, the 75% restriction on gravel roads will be lifted. The ban on the Lockhart Road and Parkland Beach Road pavement will also be lifted. Click here for the full list of restrictions still in place.
