Taxes are due July 31, 2020. A 10% penalty will be applied on any outstanding levy amounts as of August 1, 2020. A 12% penalty will be added to all arrears unpaid after December 31, 2020. Tax Payment MethodsPonoka County accepts payment in the form of cash, cheque, debit, credit card and pre-authorized debit agreement.
TAX INSTALLMENT PAYMENT PLAN The Tax Installment Payment Plan is a simple and secure way to pay your annual property taxes. When you sign up, monthly payments are automatically withdrawn from your bank account on the 20th of each month as part of a pre-authorized debit agreement. APPLICATION FORM available here. Tax Installment Payment Plans will begin in July of 2020, your account must be at a zero balance as of June 30, 2020 to enroll in the monthly program. CREDIT CARD (Online): Ponoka County accepts payment with select credit cards through OptionPay. OptionPay is a payment card system with a tiered fee schedule. There is a set fee charge per transaction based on your payment value total, view the fee chart. Account information must be included, for further detail please see attached examples with step-by-step instructions. ONLINE BANKING:
Select payee as PONOKA COUNTY TAX - required account number is your tax roll number. Each bank is unique and may require additional digits - just use zeros behind your roll number to fill in (e.g. 123400000) enter payment amount and process. IN PERSON: We are located at 4205 HWY 2A (North of the Legion - in the old ENCANA building). Office hours are Monday to Friday; 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. There is a drop off slot in the front door for after hours payments. Please make cheques payable to Ponoka County and enclose the bottom portion of your tax notice. Please note we accept debit, cash, cheque and credit card in person. POST MAIL: 4205 Highway 2A Ponoka, AB T4J 1V9 BANK: Payment can be made at any bank with the bottom portion of your tax bill, which is your remittance slip. |
