Please note – your blue sign is not your mailing address. The deadline to pay taxes is June 30th. After this date, a 10% penalty will be applied to any outstanding balance. Fire Advisory in effect April 30, 2026As a result of the forecasted warm windy weather, Ponoka County Regional Fire Services has implemented a Fire Advisory effective 8:00 a.m. April 30, 2026 in their response area (Ponoka County, Town of Ponoka, Town of Rimbey and Summer Village of Parkland Beach).
Under the advisory, open burn and fireworks discharge permit will be approved on a case by case basis and extensions for existing permits may not be granted. Residents are encouraged to refrain from non-essential burning or activities which may result in a fire until conditions improve. This includes, but not limited to, heavy fuel burning such as machine piled brush piles and windrows, fireworks & exploding targets. At this time the following is allowed but may also be affected:

Ponoka County Road Restrictions
Ponoka County will be lifting 75% legal weight restriction on all gravel roads effective May 15, 2026 at 7:00 am. All loading restrictions on chip seal roads and previously designated paved roads remain in effect. Five or more loads in one day requires a Road Use Permit & remains in effect year-round for all travel regardless of commodity or weight.
