Taxes are due June 30, 2024. A 10% penalty will be applied on any outstanding levy amounts as of July 1, 2024. A 5% penalty will be added to all arrears unpaid after December 31, 2024. School Taxes are being collected on behalf of the Province of Alberta; should you have any questions or concerns regarding the amount contact Alberta Education or your local M.L.A.

Payment MethodsTAX INSTALLMENT PRE-PAYMENT PLAN (TIPPS):
The Tax Installment Pre-Payment Plan is a simple and secure way to pay your annual property taxes. When you sign up, monthly payments are automatically withdrawn from your bank account on the 20th of each month as part of a pre-authorized debit agreement. APPLICATION FORM.
ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER (E-Transfer):

Select payee as PONOKA COUNTY TAX - required account number is your tax roll number, as seen on your tax assessment notice. Note: each bank is unique and may require additional digits; use extra zeros INFRONT of your roll number (NO SPACES example: 00001234) enter payment amount and process. CREDIT CARD (Online):
Ponoka County accepts payment with select credit cards through OptionPay. OptionPay is a 3rd party payment system with a tiered fee schedule. There is a set fee charge per transaction based on your payment value total, view the fee chart. Account information must be included, for further detail please see attached examples with step-by-step instructions. IN PERSON:
We are located at 4205 HWY 2A. Office hours are Monday to Friday; 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. There is a drop off slot in the front door for after hours payments. Please make cheques payable to Ponoka County and enclose the top portion of your tax notice. POST MAIL: 4205 Highway 2A Ponoka, AB T4J 1V9 BANK: Payment can be made at any bank with the top portion of your tax bill, which is your remittance slip. |
